Thank you for joining me in prayer on this the climactic final day of my 300-mile pilgrimage from the Scottish island of Iona to the tidal island of Lindisfarne. Over the last three weeks I’ve walked the breadth of Scotland into England from island to island, mountain to glen, along river banks and forest trails, past castles and abbeys and across the border hills, relentlessly making my way west to east in the footsteps of the seventh century Celtic saint, Aidan.1 And now I am finally here…
