Our 24-7 Prayer team in Lebanon are incredible. This week, they’re starting 7 days of non stop prayer for their nation, one year since the deadly blast that hit the city of Beirut.
Read on to find out how you can join in and pray alongside them…
Wednesday 4 August 2021 marks a year since the deadly explosion in the port of Beirut, which killed over 200 people and injured thousands more, resulting in significant consequences for businesses and homes.
An investigation is ongoing into the blast, but many people have lost hope for a credible result. Additionally, many factors over the past few years have made life really tough for the Lebanese people.
A year before the explosion, August 2019, marked the beginning of an economic crisis in Lebanon, with huge inflation. The imbalance of the Dollar-Lebanese Lira exchange rate has been increased since by two factors; employees are being paid at the old exchange rate, and their bank accounts have been suspended.
“We believe in the power of God to transform situations, and the God who hears us when we pray”
Due to the economic crisis, healthcare and medication has become inaccessible and unaffordable. Petrol and diesel have become scarce and expensive, resulting in long queues and conflicts at petrol stations, as well as constant electricity cuts which drown the country in the dark; including hospitals and medical centres.
This week, as 1 year since the blast is commemorated, we would love you to join us in praying for Lebanon and all of these challenges.

We believe in the power of God to transform situations, and the God who hears us when we pray:
“And if we know that he hears us—whatever we ask—we know that we have what we asked of him.” – John 5:15
Join us as we petition the Lord, asking Him to have mercy on our nation and heal our land.
