In case you missed the news, there are some pretty exciting changes going on right now at 24-7 HQ…
*Drum roll*
Mike Andrea; Church Leader, justice advocate and the man we have to thank for the amazing toilets at Wildfires (as well as the fact that the festival happened at all) will be taking on the role of 24-7 Prayer’s new International Team Leader.
This marks the end of 20 years of service from Pete Greig in this role – but, as Pete explains in the video below, he and Sammy “aren’t going anywhere” – this is just the start of an exciting new season for 24-7 Prayer.
So first, a little about our new International Team Leader:
Mike is the husband of Stella and the father of Hope and Jesse. He and Stella lead Global Generation Church (Glo) in Margate, and he’s been part of the the 24-7 Prayer International oversight team since 2016.
In 2018 he was awarded the Queen’s honour for his commitment to creating innovative solutions to community transformation and the reduction of poverty. He passionately believes in a gospel of salvation and transformation. And he supports Liverpool (but we won’t hold that against him).
You can see the full announcement in the video below, as well as learning a little more about what’s next and the journey taken to get here. It’s well worth a watch.
(And if you’re more of a reader than a watcher, Pete penned a little post of the transition himself, which you can check out here)
