Prayer Space Dundee are a group of people from local churches who meet together to eat, share our stories and be friends.
look for opportunities to serve the city, particularly the broken and those on the edge (we get more excited about the influence that people are having for the Kingdom of God than the structures that are built.) encourage each other to grow in prayer by exploring different rhythms and ways to pray (we want people to grow deep in their spiritual life)serve the local church(es) with resources to help them pray.
We carry a connection with the ancient Celtic church which brought the gospel to Scotland through passionate prayer, faithful community, and unbending courage.
Prayer Space Dundee grew out of a missional community that didn’t happen! In 2017 God spoke said to us “if you want to build a community based around a rhythm of prayer-start with prayer”, soon afterward he brought together 10 local churches who had a heart to pray. Some of this was built on 24-7 prayer weeks where God birthed a desire for a permanent place to pray, and we were given the purpose built chapel in a former Franciscan friary as our base.
Now we meet regularly in five locations across the city during the week.
